I think it is highly indicative that no member of the Biden-Harris or Trump-Vance cabal has appeared in this devastation, since this infrastructural eventuality was apparent for the last 20 years. Through D & R administrations. Billions are an instant occurrence for "humanitarian aid" to foreign "targets" but no/it's complicated/it takes time statements are ubiquitous when it comes to our own citizens. The ONLY political entity that is even speaking to Americans about Americans is the Green Party. They are only getting stronger by the season. The 1% are terrified, as are the Demlicans and Repugnocrats. Capitalism has finally taken its mask off and what we see is depravity and a sociopathic raison d'etre.

Thank you Ellen. From following your work, I’ve learned that credit-based financing is a tool, and like any tool, its outcome and effect are based on the intentions of the people wielding it.

Yes and on what it is used for -- i.e. for productive, not speculative, purposes. Thanks.

North Fork Reservoir was improved only 3 years ago so is not neglected infrastructure. From the improvement project publicity the rational for choosing this system was increased holding capacity, cost & time saving and mitigation against human error.

Such a system does not fit with this geographic location where the steep, short stretch of the NFCreek overflow leads directly into a housing area ... Beacon Village. The system was designed to discharge a known and dangerous volume. Although it is clear that rainfall overcame infrastructure, infrastructure is under the control of public employees who have no right whatsoever to distort the facts and furthermore to boast that their new system prevented an exponentially greater catastrophe, when a manual system .. most likely the one it replaced would have prevent both catastrophes.. the real and the hypothetical.
